1. About Mathic
Mathic is a UK-based children's mathematics app designed for children aged 5–11 following the UK National Curriculum. The service is operated as a sole trader business in the United Kingdom.
By creating an account and using Mathic, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- You may create up to the number of child profiles permitted by your subscription plan
3. Subscription plans and pricing
Mathic offers the following subscription plans:
- Free plan: The first two topics of your child's school year, 1 child profile, no time limit
- Monthly plan: £4.99 per month — every topic in your child's school year (Years 1–6), up to 5 child profiles
- Annual plan: £39.99 per year — every topic in your child's school year (Years 1–6), up to 5 child profiles (saving approximately 33% versus monthly)
Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of everything in Mathic. No payment details are taken and nothing is charged. When the trial ends, your account moves to the Free plan automatically; your child's progress is kept.
Prices are in GBP and include applicable UK VAT.
4. Billing and payment
- Subscriptions purchased through the iOS App Store are billed by Apple and subject to Apple's payment terms
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
- We do not store your payment card details — these are held securely by Apple
5. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions)
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Premium until then, and your child's progress is kept on the Free plan afterwards
- If your subscription ends, no child profile or progress is deleted. Extra child profiles are paused until you subscribe again
- We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription periods
- If you were charged in error, contact us at hello@mathic.app within 14 days and we will investigate
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others outside your household
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Mathic app or content
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with the operation of the service
7. Intellectual property
All content within Mathic — including question templates, illustrations, character designs, island artwork, and educational content — is the intellectual property of Mathic and may not be reproduced without written permission.
8. Service availability
We aim to provide Mathic 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may carry out maintenance that temporarily affects access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Mathic's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from use of Mathic.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of Mathic after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
